"Fine colorday is the 27th single (21st major label single) released by Hayashibara Megumi. The title track was used as the opening theme song to the Banno Bunka Nekomusume TV anime series. The B-side, "Oyasumi Nachi Ashita wa Ohayou" was used as the series' ending theme song. The single is Hayashibara's third single to be released that is tied into the Takada Yuzo's Nekomusume franchise.
The single reached #9 on the weekly Oricon chart, and stayed on the chart for a total of seven weeks.
