avex trax, also known as avex records (or just avex) is the music department of the Japanese commercial giant avex group. It was Japan's leading dance record company during the nineties, and continues producing recordings today of some of Japan's most famous artists. avex is also the Japanese home of many popular overseas recording artists and the parent of a few sub-labels. Avex has also established itself in Taiwan and handles various popular Taiwanese pop acts.
