SEASONS is Hamasaki Ayumi's 16th single under the avex trax label. The "D-Z BLUE SUNBEAM" remix was used in commercials for Kose Visee's Henkou Metallic series of makeup.

It was released as part of Ayu's 2000 single Trilogy, and was preceded by vogue and Far away. Ayu has said that the singles are looking at her life from three different angles. The cover art for vogue is a close-up of Ayu's face. The cover of Far away has zoomed out to reveal the photo of Ayu standing on a deck, next to someone else who has been torn off the photo. The cover of SEASONS shows Ayu, by the ocean, holding that half of the torn photo.

There is one long PV for "vogue," "Far away," and "SEASONS." The PV uses abridged versions of the songs. The individual segments of the PVs were aired individually as the singles were released, and ultimately the long video was released as a DVD single along with a making-of video.

The single reached #1 on Oricon charts and stayed on the charts for a total of twenty weeks. In all this single has sold a total of 1,367,400 copies, making it Ayumi's third single to sell over a million copies.

Track Listing

The version of SEASONS "Acoustic Orchestra Version" that appears here is slightly different than the version appearing later on ayu-mi-x III. This version uses violin in the instrumentation where the version on ayu-mi-x III uses harmonica.
