Information

"L" is the 50th single released by Hamasaki Ayumi and the third release in the "50th Single Project". "L" represents the number 50 in roman numerals. The single reached #1 on the Oricon weekly chart making it Hamasaki's 25th consecutive #1 single, breaking Matsuda Seiko's previous record for most consecutive female solo #1 singles since 1988. The PV for "Virgin Road" was shot in Los Angeles and all of the tracks were also recorded there.

The single is certified gold by the RIAJ for a shipment of 100,000 copies.
