Fukumura Mizuki (譜久村聖) is a Japanese pop singer and idol managed by Up-Front Promotion and part of Hello! Project. She is a ninth generation member and current leader of Morning Musume and the sub-leader of Hello! Project.

Profile

History

Fukumura Mizuki joined Hello! Project as a member of Hello! Pro Egg on June 22, 2008, with Kaneko Rie and Takeuchi Akari. Prior to this, she was the the runner-up for the Kirarin☆Girls Contest in 2006.

In 2009, Fukumura became a member of Shugo Chara Egg! to promote the anime Shugo Chara Party!, representing Amulet Heart. She was also a backup dancer in two of Mano Erina's promotional videos.

On January 2, 2011, Fukumura made her debut as a member of Morning Musume's ninth generation, joining along with the three audition winners Ikuta Erina, Sayashi Riho, and Suzuki Kanon.

Mizuki was appointed to the newly formed position of Sub-Leader of Hello! Project at the first show of the "Hello! Project COUNTDOWN PARTY ~GOOD BYE & HELLO~" concert on December 31, 2016, to act alongside the new Leader Wada Ayaka. The positions were announced ahead of the Spring 2017 disbandment of °C-ute and graduation of previous leader Yajima Maimi.
