"Dear Diary" is a ballad recorded by Amuro Namie. It was used as the theme song for the film Death Note: Light up the NEW world; while "Fighter" was used as an insert song. The track is found on Amuro's 44th single "Dear Diary / Fighter".

The music video for Amuro Namie's "Dear Diary" was directed by Shingu Ryouhei.

There are currently two version of "Dear Diary" to be found in Amuro Namie's discography. These are listed below by date of release:

Dear Diary: Found on the "Dear Diary / Fighter" single as track #1. This is the standard version of the song, which is set to the music video.
Dear Diary -Instrumental-: Found on the regular editions of the "Dear Diary / Fighter" single as track #3. This is the standard track, just without the vocals.

"Dear Diary" had a slow start on the Recochoku Download charts, entering the top 200 two weeks after "Fighter".
