"Dr." is an eletro-pop song recorded by Amuro Namie, and produced by Nao'ymt. It first appears on her 33rd single "WILD / Dr." and was later placed on Amuro's eighth studio album PAST < FUTURE. The song was used as the theme for the Bourgeois Gorgeous Vidal Sassoon commercial campaign. It was described as a futuristic love song[1] by Rolling Stone Japan. It features a sample of the ostinato rhythm from Ravel's "Boléro". "Dr." is one of Amuro's first electronic songs recorded while transition from Hip-Pop to electronic based music, such as her tenth album the House record FEEL.

Although the song received a music video and was placed on the album in terms of promotion it was more of B-side, with "WILD" being used to promote the single during live events and television shows. The song, much like the video is closely related to another electro-pop Nao'ymt produced track off of PAST<FUTURE titled "Defend Love". "Dr." was well received by critics who noted that "The shifting song structure and Bolero samples in "Dr." push the boundaries of the brief pop song.[2]

The song also managed to reach #64 on on Billboard Japan's Hot 100 chart.[3]. The other "WILD" reached #1 on Hot 100, and also received a Gold certification by Recording Industry Association of Japan for over 100,00 cellphone digital downloads.[4]

The music video for "Dr." is entirely animated and is Amuro's first fully animated music video. It was animated by Kamikaze Douga, and directed by Mizusaki Junpei.

The video is set in the year 3000 on a post-apocalyptic planet that was destroyed by war and environmental neglect. Amuro Namie is the animated heroine of the story, and is being instructed by one that could be described as Dr. Chronos (or the Dr. of time) who is mentioned in the song. Her objective is to travel through time in order to restore the world’s natural beauty and save it from destruction. As she travels to the year 2500 she beings to restore the world’s ecosystem, however, during the restoration process Amuro is attacked by enemy forces bent on maintaining the world’s annihilation. The doctor then sends Amuro to the year 2200 but a mass war is in effect and she is unable to stop it. When it becomes apparent that restoration isn’t an option, the doctor sends Amuro to the 21st century in desperation to convey a message of world peace to a young girl (a second animated alter ego of Amuro). The message reads “We return to change your past. We hope for the future at which you are laughing, have a good future."

The sequence ends with the phrase "TO BE CONTINUED". Amuro's animated heroine character returns for the music video for her song "Defend Love" in which she portrays a third animated alter ego in a Mobile Suit Gundam theme.
