Prior to joining the [[Hello Pro Kenshuusei]] Onoda Karin was a 10th generation member of the girls theater troupe [[Hanayashiki Shoujo Kageki]] (花やしき少女歌劇団), until her graduation in September 2018. She was revealed as a new addition to Hello Pro Kenshuusei through an announcement on the official [[Hello! Project]] website on November 1, 2018, alongside [[Saito Madoka]] and [[Kusunoki Mei]].
