- Information
"Cécile" is a song recorded by AKB48. It can be found as track #3 on the type-A edition of their 67th major single "Nagori Zakura".
The song was originally published as part of the "Akimoto Yasushi vs. AI Akimoto Yasushi New Song Battle", a fan-voted competition between Akimoto Yasushi and an AI version of himself trained on his past works. Fans were asked to vote between "Cécile" and "Omoide Scroll", with the latter being the winning song and receiving a digital release.
During the special's premiere, co-host Hiromi commented that he would like to see his wife Matsumoto Iyo perform the song. Matsumoto was eventually invited to perform the song during the group's 20th anniversary live tour on December 7th, 2025, then she was invited again for the music video.
