Loan Members to Team K
Beginning in 2012, selected members would be chosen to serve concurrent (兼任; kennin) or dual positions within AKB48 and one of its sister groups. Although they participate regularly in both groups, these memberships are only temporary, and after a period of time, they will be released from their second post and returned to their original team.
The following members are outside of AKB48 and hold a dual position with Team K.

Information
In December 2005, an audition was held for the second generation of AKB48, Team K. 18 girls were chosen and in April 2006 they started preforming at the AKB48 theater. Their first stage, PARTY ga Hajimaru yo, was recycled from Team A. On June 17th 2006, Uemura Ayako graduated, making her the first Team K member to graduate AKB48.
In August 2009, it was announced that the AKB48 teams would be shuffled in October 2009.

- Itano Tomomi, Fujie Reina, and Minegishi Minami form Team A
- Tanabe Miku, Nakatsuka Tomomi, Nito Moeno and Yonezawa Rumi from Team B
- Uchida Mayumi, Kikuchi Ayaka, Nonaka Misato and Matsui Sakiko from Kenkyuusei
- The transfers from Team K were as followed:
- Kuramochi Asuka and Matsubara Natsumi to Team A
- Oku Manami, Kasai Tomomi, Kobayashi Kana, Sato Natsuki, Chikano Rina, and Masuda Yuka to Team B
- Ohori Megumi and Noro Kayo to SDN48
In June 2010, founding member Ono Erena announced her graduation from the group to focus on her acting at the end of the summer. Shortly after her graduation in September 27, 2010, Yokoyama Yui was promoted to Team K.
In January 2012, Yonezawa Rumi (and Hirajima Natsumi) was caught in a scandal and withdrew. Then in March 2012, at AKB48's concert in Saitama Super Arena, it was announced that Matsui Jurina from SKE48 Team S would be joining Team K through a concurrent position, as well as continuing activities with Team S.
On August 24, 2012, the teams were shuffled as part of the Tokyo Dome Team Shuffle.
- The transfers to Team K were as followed:
- Kuramochi Asuka, Nakata Chisato, Nakaya Sayaka, Maeda Ami, and Matsubara Natsumi from Team A
- Kitahara Rie, Kobayashi Kana, Sato Amina, Suzuki Shihori, Chikano Rina, Masuda Yuka, and Miyazaki Miho from Team B.
- Abe Maria, Shimada Haruka, and Nagao Mariya from Team 4
- Fujita Nana from Team Unknown
- Mitsumune Kaoru and Mutou Tomu from Kenkyuusei. Mitsumune Kaoru, however, withdrew before debuting
- The transfers from Team K were as followed:
- Kikuchi Ayaka, Nakatsuka Tomomi, Nito Moeno, Matsui Sakiko, and Yokoyama Yui to Team A.
- Umeda Ayaka, Tanabe Miku, Nonaka Misato, Fujie Reina, and Minegishi Minami to Team B
- Miyazawa Sae to SNH48
- The first original team song with this new formation was Seigi no Mikata ja nai Hero, which was a coupling song for the single UZA.
On February 2, 2013, Itano Tomomi announced her graduation from the group, and graduated on August 25, 2013.
On April 7, 2013, founding member Akimoto Sayaka announced her graduation from the group, and graduated on August 22, 2013.
On April 28, 2013, a minor team shuffle occured during the AKB48 Group Rinji Soukai "Shirokuro tsukeyou janai ka!" in which:
- Hirata Rina was promoted from Kenkyuusei.
- Furuhata Nao from SKE48 Team E, and Miyazawa Sae from SNH48 also held concurrent positions.
- Kitahara Rie's concurrent position with SKE48 Team S was revoked. Originally, she was transferred to Team KII as part of the SKE48 Team Shuffle.
- Their first appearance on a Team A song was Sasameyuki Regret, which was a coupling song for the single Heart Ereki.
- Team 4 member Aigasa Moe and Kenkyuusei member Yumoto Ami also appeared in this song, as graduating Team K members Akimoto Sayaka and Itano Tomomi selected both members as part of a special auditon.
On June 8, 2013, Miyazawa Sae became the first member to cancel a concurrent position. She cancelled her position with Team K and remained in SNH48.
On September 1, 2013, Nozawa Rena from JKT48 Team J was given a concurrent position with Team K.
On November 10, 2013, during the AKB48 Group Draft Kaigi 2013, Goto Moe and Shimoguchi Hinana were drafted to Team K.
On December 31, 2013, founding member Oshima Yuko announced her graduation from the group, and graduated on June 9, 2014.
On February 24, 2014, it was announced during the AKB48 Group Daisokaku Matsuri that the teams would be shuffled in April 2014.
- The transfers to Team K were as followed:
- Kodama Haruka, Suzuki Mariya, Tano Yuuka, and Yokoyama Yui from Team A
- Ishida Haruka, Iwasa Misaki, and Nonaka Misato from Team B. Nonaki, however, cancelled this position, and remained in Team B.
- Aigasa Moe and Kojima Mako from Team 4
- Yumoto Ami from Kenkyuusei
- Yamamoto Sayaka from NMB48 Team N also held a concurrent position.
- The transfers from Team A were as followed:
- Nakata Chisato, Fujita Nana, Furuhata Nao, Maeda Ami, and Mutou Tomu to Team A
- Kuramochi Asuka, Nozawa Rena, and Hirata Rina to Team B
- Nozawa Rena's native position with JKT48 Team J was revoked, and she became a full-time member of AKB48
- The first original team song with this new formation was Itoshiki Rival, which was a coupling song for the single Labrador Retriever.
On March 26, 2015, it was announced during the AKB48 Spring Concert 〜Jikiso Imada Shugyouchu!〜 concert that the teams would be shuffled in August 2015.
- The transfers to Team K were as followed:
- Ichikawa Manami, Nakata Chisato, Fujita Nana, Matsui Sakiko, and Mutou Tomu from Team A. Matsui, however, graduated before the position took effect.
- Takajo Aki from Team B
- Shinozaki Ayana, Minegishi Minami, Mukaichi Mion, and Mogi Shinobu from Team 4
- Nakano Ikumi from Team 8 also held a concurrent position
- The transfers from Team K were as followed:
- Miyazaki Miho and Yokoyama Yui to Team A
- Iwasa Misaki, Uchida Mayumi, Kobayashi Kana, and Goto Moe to Team B.

- The first original team song with this new formation was Ai no Shisha, which was a coupling song for the best-album 0 to 1 no Aida.
On May 10, 2015, during the AKB48 Group Draft Kaigi 2015, Kubo Satone and Nomura Nao were drafted to Team K, but instead of being promoted to the team, they started as Kenkyuusei members.
On October 21, 2015, Matsui Jurina announced that she will be cancelling her position with Team K, stating that because of Matsui Rena's graduation, she wants to focus solely on SKE48.
On March 31, 2016, the remaining founding Team K members Kobayashi Kana (from Team B) and Miyazawa Sae (from SKE48 Team S and SNH48 Team SII) graduated, marking the complete extinction of the 2nd generation and original Team K.
On April 13, 2016, Yamamoto Sayaka announced that she will be cancelling her position with Team K.
