Trivia
- In addition to being an original member of SKE48 and Team S, Matsui is also a prominent member of the AKB48 senbatsu. Beginning with the single "Oogoe Diamond" (in which she was featured as the center and the sole member on the jacket covers), she has participated in AKB48's singles as a representative for SKE48, earning her placements in the senbatsu General Elections and often prominent appearances in music videos or at the center. In March 2012, it was announced that she would hold a dual position in Team K, and her AKB48 theater performances began in June.
- Her catchphrase is, "Ichi, ni, san, shi, go issho ni! roku, shichi, hachi, kyu, Jurina~! (○○-sai ni narimashita) Matsui Jurina desu" (1, 2, 3, 4, ご一緒に! 6, 7, 8, 9, じゅりな〜! (○○才になりました)松井珠理奈です; "1, 2, 3, 4, all together! 6, 7, 8, 9, Jurina~! (I have turned oo years old), I'm Matsui Jurina.")
- In November 2009, she was hospitalized for pneumonia and suspended from SKE48 activities for the rest of the month.
- Together with Matsui Rena, they became prominent members of AKB48's senbatsu due to representing SKE48. As a result, they also became staple members of SKE48's senbatsu line-ups. In addition to being in Team S together (until 2013), they also had a shared surname, leading to fan nicknames like "W Matsui" (W松井; pronounced "Double Matsui") and "JR".
- Is close with Shinoda Mariko, having a sisterly relationship. They first met during the making of "Oogoe Diamond", and as revealed in a documentary, Matsui was shouting "Mariko-sama" (麻里子様) for her pose on the jacket cover.
- Is good friends with Sato Sumire, Masuda Yuka, and Miyazawa Sae.
- Is the only member to be featured on the front and back covers for "Oogoe Diamond", a feat that has yet to be repeated on another AKB48 single.
- Began dancing in grade 3.
- She likes to kiss cute members.
- Is good at athletics, having stated her special skill to be running 100 meters in 14 seconds.
